Jeena Gurung Vomhof

I am Jeena Gurung Vomhof, a proud daughter of Nepal, an entrepreneur, a mother, and a passionate advocate for authenticity, empowerment, and human connection. My journey has been anything but ordinary, and through SURU, I hope to inspire others to embrace their true selves and take bold steps toward their dreams.
A Journey of Resilience and Purpose
Growing up in Nepal, I was always a bit different—a tomboy who didn’t fit the mold of traditional expectations. Society had its own definitions of how a girl should be, but I always believed that true beauty lies in authenticity. I carried that belief with me when I moved to Minnesota in 2011, bringing my vision to life in a community that has embraced me as one of their own.
My path has been shaped by challenges, resilience, and the unwavering support of those who saw my potential when I struggled to see it myself. SURU is more than just a brand—it’s a reflection of my own journey. It is a place where culture meets creativity, where artisans’ stories are honored, and where people are reminded that they, too, can begin again.
